Technical Support Specialist

ScheduALL, the leader in enterprise resource management for the broadcast and media industry has an immediate opening for Technical Support Specialist in our Hollywood, FL office.

Responsibilities

Working knowledge of network application software and experience with broad range of PC configurations and network based applications and topologies. Responsible for receiving customer calls regarding product functionality and work hand in hand with our customers to fully diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Qualified candidate will be responsible for providing Help Desk support for a broad customer base using a proprietary application in a /2000/XP/SQL environment. Ability to manage a large volume of work and adjust priorities as necessary based on established service levels and customer priorities.

  • Routinely communicate with the customer on open issues to gain additional information and/or advise them of the status of their reported issue.
  • Interface with other ScheduALL departments as necessary to resolve customer issues.
  • Escalate unresolved customer issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure customers have a thorough understanding on the proper use of ScheduALL applications, including providing peer and customer product training.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of ScheduALL products including new version releases and products.
  • Test new product functionality as needed.
  • Assist, mentor and brainstorm with other Technical Support Engineers to resolve issues, including assisting in the development of new members to the Technical Support team.

  • Excellent organization skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical people.
  • Must be able to work effectively with other internal and external teams.
  • 1+ years work experience in a Technical Support / Help Desk environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows 98/2000/XP, Windows NT. MS-SQL, Oracle, Crystal Reports a plus.
  • Ideal candidate will come from a high volume call center, has excellent customer service skills, and has strong technical knowledge in addition to excellent communication skills. Some traveling may be required.
