ScheduALL’s NMS Interface allows a company involved in scheduling transmission-oriented sessions to combine the resource scheduling abilities of ScheduALL with the automated management features of a third-party Network Management System (NMS). The Interface is a method for ScheduALL/ScheduLINK to generate and format a message to an NMS (network management system) which uses this information to automatically schedule, configure and control external devices without requiring the user to enter a separate booking in the NMS or the individual external systems/devices.

When a transmission- or circuit-oriented work order is created within the ScheduALL system, the NMS Interface communicates the appropriate information to an external system. The NMS Interface also accepts update information from the third-party NMS regarding the status of circuits (bookings) and devices (resources) in the network.

Current NMS Interface implementations allow ScheduALL/ScheduLINK bookings to provide control, configuration and the proper scheduling of:

  • Fiber and Satellite Encoders
  • Decoders
  • IRDs
  • Antenna Control Units (ACUs)
  • Routers
  • Radio Receivers
